They say the language of love is French. In our case, it’s the language of fencing! Our artwork is inspired by Gérard Thibault d’Anvers’ Academie de l’Espée (1630). We are really excited about this phase of the project – translating these beautiful images into textile designs. Have a favorite image you’d like to see? Let us know!
We have created a cozy and unique fleece blanket inspired by one of the most elaborate illustrations in the book – describing the angles of the human body as they relate to swordfighting. Soft and colorful, it’s the perfect blanket for picnics in the park, outdoor events, and snuggles on the couch. Show your love of Renaissance sword fighting in your home and in the park!
As a clothing and textile designers, who are also students of historical sword fighting, SwordGeek’s Boutique brings together the things we love most! The richly detailed art of these manuscripts have provided us endless design inspiration for items for home and body, walls and sofas.
